Description
The Abelia 'Compacta' (Abelia grandiflora) is a bushy, dense shrub that produces light pink, bell-shaped flowers. They appear from July to October. The Abelia 'Compacta' also has lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, lime-free soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to approx. 1 m wide.

Leaves
The wintergreen leaves of the Abelia 'Compacta' are dark green, lanceolate. They are about 3 - 4 cm in size. Abelia 'Compacta' turns bright bronze in autumn.

Growth
Abelia 'Compacta' is a bushy and dense growing shrub. It usually reaches a height of 0.6 - 1 m and is approx. 0.8 - 1 m wide. It usually grows 15 - 30 cm per year.

Planting time
