Description
The White fir 'Wintergold' (Abies concolor) is a tree that grows loosely in a conical shape and usually reaches a height of around 70 metres and a width of around 3 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are yellow-green in colour. They turn a beautiful golden yellow in autumn. Decorative cones adorn Abies concolor 'Wintergold' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich, slightly acidic soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
