Description
The Alpine fir 'Compacta' (Abies lasiocarpa) is a small tree that grows densely, pyramidal and usually reaches a height of about 3 metres and a width of about 2 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are silver-grey in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, sandy, acidic soil in a sunny to shady position.
