Description
The Caucasian fir (Abies nordmanniana) is a woody plant that grows broad and pyramidal and usually reaches a height of around 30 metres and a width of around 9 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are dark green in colour. This shrub is well tolerant of frost. It prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich, loamy, slightly acidic soil in a sunny to semi-shady position sheltered from the wind.
