Description
The Cootamundra wattle 'Purpurea' (Acacia baileyana) is a very popular, evergreen container plant. Its yellow flowers are ball-shaped and bloom from March to April. They give off a strong fragrance. The grey-green leaves are pinnate. It should be planted in a position that is as sunny as possible or in partial shade. Well-drained, nutrient-rich soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Cootamundra wattle 'Purpurea' can reach a height of approx. 8 m.

Leaves
