Description
The Armed bear's breech (Acanthus spinosus) is an upright, clump-forming perennial that produces pink or purple, lip-shaped flowers arranged in spikes from July to August. Its pinnate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and is approx. 70 cm wide. The Armed bear's breech is well tolerant of frost.
