Description
The Cappadocian maple 'Aureum' (Acer cappadocicum) is an upright, broad, dense, roundish, deciduous small tree with decorative, light green leaves. The green-yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears pale yellow flowers arranged in umbels from May to June. These produce light green winged fruits. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 10 metres.
