Description
The Cappadocian maple 'Rubrum' (Acer cappadocicum) is an upright small tree that produces pale yellow flowers arranged in panicles. They appear from May to June. These produce light green winged fruits. The Cappadocian maple 'Rubrum' also has dark green leaves. The blood-red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 10 metres.
