The Freeman Maple 'Armstrong Two' (Acer freemanii) is a columnar garden plant that produces orange-red flowers arranged in hanging panicles. They appear from March to April. The Freeman Maple 'Armstrong Two' also has palmate, blue-green leaves. The red-purple shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is grey and smooth. In a sunny to semi-shady location with calcareous, nutrient-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 15 metres and grows to a width of approx. 4 metres.
