Description
The Downy Japanese maple 'Vitifolium' (Acer japonicum) is a sprawling, picturesque large shrub with decorative, red winged fruits. It produces purple-red flowers arranged in clusters from April to May. The Downy Japanese maple 'Vitifolium' also has cut, medium green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and grows to a width of around 5 metres.
