Description
The Oregon maple (Acer macrophyllum) is a broad, large tree that produces yellow-green flowers. They appear in May. Green-brown winged fruits emerge from these from September. The Oregon maple also has shiny, roundish, dark green leaves. Its bark is dark grey. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 30 metres and grows to a width of around 10 metres.
