Description
The Oregon maple (Acer macrophyllum) is a broad, large tree that produces yellow-green flowers. These appear in May. From these, green-brown winged fruits develop from September onwards. The Oregon maple also bears glossy, rounded, dark-green leaves. Its bark is dark grey. In a sunny to semi-shaded position with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 30 m and a width of approx. 10 m.

Leaves
The deciduous leaves of the Oregon maple are dark green, rounded, glossy, opposite and lobed. They measure approximately 20–30 cm in length. Oregon maple turns a vibrant orange in autumn.
