Description
The Montpellier maple (Acer monspessulanum) is a roundish large shrub or small tree that produces greenish-yellow flowers. They appear from April to May. The Montpellier maple also has dark green leaves. Its bark is dark brown, mottled. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and is around 7 metres wide.
