Description
The Japanese maple 'Cascade Gold' (Acer palmatum) is a hanging shrub that produces purple-red flowers arranged in clusters. They appear in May. These produce red-brown winged fruits. The Japanese maple 'Cascade Gold' also has cut, medium green leaves. The orange-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres.
