Description
The Fächerahorn 'Metamorphosa' (Acer palmatum) is an upright, deciduous shrub with decorative, cut, green leaves with a white margin. The yellow-pink coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears purple-red flowers arranged in clusters in April. These produce red winged fruits from September. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to a width of around 1.5 metres.
