Description
The Japanese maple 'Orange Lace' (Acer palmatum) is an upright, slender, deciduous garden plant with decorative, deeply slit, light green leaves. The golden-orange shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears purple-red flowers arranged in clusters in May. These produce red-brown winged fruits. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to a width of around 2.5 metres.
