Description
The Japanese maple 'Osakazuki' (Acer palmatum) is a bushy, broad, large shrub that produces purple-red flowers arranged in clusters. They appear in May. These produce red winged fruits. The Japanese maple 'Osakazuki' also has medium green leaves. The copper-brown shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 6 metres and grows to around 6 metres wide.
