Description
The Japanese maple 'Arakawa' (Acer palmatum) is a multi-stemmed, umbrella-shaped, picturesque, shrub-like large shrub that produces red flowers arranged in clusters. They appear from May to June. The Japanese maple 'Arakawa' also has cut, fingered, medium green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to a width of around 3 metres.
