Description
The Japanese maple 'Beni-shichi-henge' (Acer palmatum) is a multi-stemmed, umbrella-shaped, picturesque, broad, deciduous large shrub with decorative, lobed, dark green leaves edged with pink. Its pinkish new growth is also an interesting sight. In a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.5 m and spreads to around 1 m.
