Description
The Japanese maple 'Chitose Yama' (Acer palmatum) is a multi-stemmed, umbrella-shaped, picturesque, broad, deciduous large shrub with decorative, cut, bronze-coloured leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 2.4 m and grows to around 3 m wide.
