Description
The Japanese maple 'Lionheart' (Acer palmatum) is a broad, deciduous large shrub with decorative, deeply lobed, dark brown leaves. Its green and red new growth is also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shaded, sheltered position with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 m and spreads to around 4 m.
