Description
The Japanese maple 'Shishigashira' (Acer palmatum) is a slender shrub that produces purple-red flowers arranged in clusters. They appear in May. These produce red-brown winged fruits. The Japanese maple 'Shishigashira' also has cut, medium green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to around 3 metres wide.
