Description
The Japanese maple 'Skeeter´s Broom' (Acer palmatum) is an upright, dense shrub that produces purple-red flowers arranged in clusters. They appear from May to June. These produce red winged fruits. The Japanese maple 'Skeeter´s Broom' also has purple-red leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 2.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 2.5 metres.
