Description
The Norway maple 'Crimson King' (Acer platanoides) is a dense, roundish tree or large tree that produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in corymbs. They appear in April. These produce brown winged fruits. The Norway maple 'Crimson King' also has dark red leaves. Its bark is dark grey and longitudinally furrowed. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of approx. 15 m and is approx. 10 m wide. The Norway maple 'Crimson King' makes no special demands on the soil.
