Description
The Norway maple 'Faassen´s Black' (Acer platanoides) is a conical, broad, loose, deciduous large tree with decorative, dark red leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears yellow-red flowers arranged in umbels in April. Brown winged fruits emerge from these. They exude a pleasant fragrance. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and is around 8 metres wide. The Norway maple 'Faassen´s Black' makes no particular demands on the soil.
