Description
The Red maple 'Red Sunset' (Acer rubrum) is a small pyramidal tree that produces dark red flowers arranged in clusters. These produce brown winged fruits. The Red maple 'Red Sunset' also has leathery, medium green leaves. Its bark is grey. In a sunny, sheltered location with lime-free, nutrient-rich, moist to wet, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 10 metres.
