Description
With its multi-coloured leaves, Japanese rush 'Hakuro Nishiki' (Acorus gramineus) is an extremely decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for areas such as pond edges, streams and aquariums. Light brown flowers appear from June to July. It prefers humus-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location. The Japanese rush 'Hakuro Nishiki' is well tolerant of frost. The upright, winter-green plant usually reaches a height of approx. 15 cm.
