Description
The Dwarf buckeye 'Atrosanguinea' (Aesculus pavia) is a roundish small tree that produces dark red flowers arranged in panicles. They appear in May. These produce light brown, oval fruits from October. The Dwarf buckeye 'Atrosanguinea' also has palmate, dark green leaves. Its bark is grey. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, lime-free, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 7.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 5 metres.
