The African lily 'Brilliant blue' (Agapanthus africanus) is an upright perennial that produces blue-violet, star-shaped flowers arranged in spikes with a light fragrance from June to August. Its glossy, linear leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 70 cm. The African lily 'Brilliant blue' is well tolerant of frost.
