Description
The Bugle 'Black Scallop'® (Ajuga reptans) is a creeping, winter-green perennial that forms purple, lip-shaped flowers arranged in whorls from April to May. Its shiny, egg-shaped, whole-margined leaves are dark red in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 15 cm and grows to a width of approx. 25 cm. The Bugle 'Black Scallop'® is well tolerant of frost.
