Description
The Grey alder 'Aurea' (Alnus incana) is a multi-stemmed, deciduous small tree with decorative, egg-shaped, greenish-yellow leaves. The yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears orange-red flowers arranged in catkins from March to April. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of around 12 metres and is around 7 metres wide.
