Description
The Red alder (Alnus rubra) is an upright, pyramidal garden plant that produces yellow flowers arranged in catkins. They appear from March to April. The Red alder also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and is around 5 metres wide.
