Description
The Ampelopsis (Ampelopsis aconitifolia) is a climbing, deciduous plant with decorative, lilac-blue fruits. Before these appear, it produces creamy-white flowers in August. The Ampelopsis also has lance-shaped, medium-green leaves.

Leaves
The deciduous leaves of Ampelopsis are medium green and lobed. Ampelopsis turns a bright yellow in autumn.

Growth
Ampelopsis is a climbing plant that can reach a height of 5–10 m and a width of 4–6 m. It usually grows 0.5–1 m per year.

Water
Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Location
Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.

Soil
Standard container plant soil. Normal soil.

Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the ground is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).

Flower
The creamy-white flowers appear in August.

Fruit
The lilac-blue fruits of Ampelopsis aconitifolia are particularly decorative. These appear from September onwards.
