Description
The Ozark bluestar (Amsonia illustris) is an upright perennial that produces light blue, star-shaped flowers from May to June. Its lanceolate leaves are dark green. In a semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows to a width of approx. 50 cm. The Ozark bluestar is well tolerant of frost.
