Description
The Alkanet (Anchusa officinalis) is an upright, branched perennial that produces dark purple flowers from May to September. Its hairy, lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, dry soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1 metre.
