Description
The Purple angelica (Angelica gigas) is an upright perennial that forms dark red flowers arranged in umbels from July to August. Its pinnate leaves are dark green. In a sunny location with well-drained, lime-free, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.3 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1 metre. The Purple angelica is well tolerant of frost.
