Description
The Japanese angelica tree (Aralia elata) is a bizarre, multi-stemmed large shrub with decorative, black, round fruits. It produces white flowers arranged in umbels from August to September. The Japanese angelica tree also has pinnate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, sandy, loamy soil, it usually grows to a height of around 7 metres and is around 3 metres wide.
