Description
The Strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) is a very popular, evergreen tub plant whose bright red, round fruits have a mild flavour. Its decorative flowers appear from October to March. The dark green leaves are lanceolate. The location should be as sunny to semi-shady as possible. A well-drained, humus-rich and lime-free soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Strawberry tree reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 2 m wide.
