Description
The Strawberry tree 'Rubra' (Arbutus unedo) is a very popular, evergreen container plant whose red-orange, round fruits have a mild, sweet flavour. Its pink-red flowers appear from October to February. The dark green leaves are lanceolate. The location should be as sunny to semi-shady as possible. A well-drained, humus-rich and lime-free soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Strawberry tree 'Rubra' reaches a height of approx. 3 m and grows up to 2 m wide.
