Description
The Macqui (Aristotelia chilensis) is a very popular, deciduous tub plant whose purple fruits have a sweet flavour. Its decorative flowers appear in April. The medium green leaves are lanceolate. The location should be as sunny and sheltered as possible. Well-drained soil is ideal. In favourable conditions, the Macqui reaches a height of approx. 5 m and grows up to 4 m wide.
