Description
The Asarabacca (Asarum europaeum) is a broad, winter-green perennial that forms brown, bell-shaped flowers from April to May. Its shiny, kidney-shaped leaves are dark green. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, calcareous, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 15 cm and grows to a width of approx. 25 cm. The Asarabacca is well tolerant of frost.
