Description
With its silver-green leaf colouring, Astelie 'Silver Spear' (Astelia chathamica) is a decorative design element in the garden, but with its upright and spreading growth it also adorns containers on balconies or terraces. The greenish flower fronds adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Under favourable conditions, this grass reaches a height of approx. 1.5 m and grows up to 1.5 m wide.
