Description
The Italian aster 'Blue King' (Aster amellus) is an upright, clump-forming perennial that produces blue-violet, basket-shaped flowers with a pleasant fragrance from July to September. Its lanceolate leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The Italian aster 'Blue King' is well tolerant of frost.
