Description
The Blue wood aster (Aster cordifolius) is an upright, clump-forming perennial that produces lilac-coloured, basket-shaped flowers arranged in panicles with a pleasant fragrance from September to October. Its egg-shaped leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows to a width of approx. 60 cm. The Blue wood aster is well tolerant of frost.
