Description
The Chinese astilbe (Astilbe chinensis) is a creeping perennial that forms pink, creamy white or white flowers arranged in panicles from July to September. Its pinnate leaves are medium green. In a semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and is approx. 50 cm wide. The Chinese astilbe is well tolerant of frost.
