Description
The Lady fern (Athyrium vidalii) is a decorative design element in the garden with its feathery, light green leaf fronds. The purple-red leaf stalks are an interesting detail. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with soil that is as well-drained and lime-free as possible. In favourable conditions, this hardy fern reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows up to 80 cm wide.
