Description
The Cape daisy (Osteospermum) is a popular plant for the balcony. It prefers a sunny location and a well-drained substrate.

Bulletpoints
* Continuous bloomer * Cut flower

Growth
Osteospermum can reach a height of 40 - 80 cm.

Water
Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.

Location
Preferred location in a sunny position.

Soil
Standard container plant soil. Normal soil.

Planting time
Planting: After the last frosts.

Care
- Withered and yellow leaves must be plucked out regularly and old branches cut out. This encourages the growth of new flowers. - Regular watering in summer is particularly important. Morning or evening is the best time for this. Watering should also be done slowly and, if possible, not over the flowers and leaves. - Many bedding and balcony plants have high to very high nutrient requirements. For this reason, slow-release fertiliser should be mixed into the potting soil when planting. After 4-6 weeks, liquid fertiliser should be added regularly.

Use
Tubs, cutting, balcony/terrace
