Description
The Barberry 'Amstelveen' (Berberis x frikartii) is a dense, branched small shrub with decorative, red, oval fruits. It produces yellow flowers from May to June. The Barberry 'Amstelveen' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 metre and grows to a width of approx. 1 metre. The Barberry 'Amstelveen' makes no particular demands on the soil.
