Description
The Japanese barberry 'Golden Dream' (Berberis thunbergii) is a dense, overhanging, branched shrub with decorative, red fruits that stay on for a very long time. It produces creamy white flowers in May. The Japanese barberry 'Golden Dream' also has egg-shaped, greenish-yellow leaves. The yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to a width of around 3 metres.
