Description
The Japanese barberry 'Golden Nugget'® (Berberis thunbergii) is a dense, overhanging, branched, flat, roundish shrub or dwarf shrub with decorative, bright red, oval fruits that stay on for a very long time. The Japanese barberry 'Golden Nugget'® also has egg-shaped, golden-yellow leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and is approx. 25 cm wide.
